The Lutendele Bridge, located on the road from Kinshasa’s Tourism Avenue to the town of Lutendele in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), has been recognized as one of the country's Five Major Projects and was later featured on the DRC’s 50th-anniversary commemorative coin.
The road connecting Kinshasa to Lutendele underwent significant upgrades, improving transportation for the town of Lutendele, reducing travel time between the two areas, and strengthening the economic ties between the city and its suburbs. Additionally, lighting and water pipelines were installed along the road, further enhancing its functionality.
The Lutendele Bridge, a critical component of the Lutendele Road project, was constructed by China Railway No.8 Engineering Group. The 57-meter-long bridge accommodates two-way vehicle traffic, with pedestrian walkways on both sides.
