On August 20, local time, the completion ceremony for the Tanzania Ministry of Agriculture Grain Processing Center project, constructed by China Railway Construction Engineering Group was held. Tanzanian Vice President Philip Isdor Mpango and Minister of Agriculture Mhe. Hussein Mohammed Bashe attended the event.
Vice President Mpango noted that the project team not only delivered the project on time but also exceeded quality expectations. He expressed sincere gratitude to China Railway Construction Engineering Group East Africa Co. for their significant contribution to agricultural development and food security in the Dodoma region.
The first and second phases of the Tanzania Ministry of Agriculture Grain Processing Center project are located in the Mtanana-Kongwa area of Dodoma, adjacent to the main road from Dodoma to Dar es Salaam. The project includes the construction of a market office building, a trade building, warehouse and machine room buildings, workshops, a power distribution room, outdoor roads, and perimeter walls, covering an area of approximately 21,000 square meters. It is equipped with a trade hall, a 18,000-ton capacity integrated drying and storage silo, storage facilities, and a flour deep-processing plant with a daily output of 120 tons. Once completed, it will become a key grain storage and trade center in Tanzania.
