On September 10, with the precise placement of the final steel beam segment weighing approximately 107 tons on its supports and temporary scaffolding, the steel beams of the Ziyun Bridge in Fengcheng City, Jiangxi Province, constructed by China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group, a subsidiary of CREC, were fully connected.
The new Ziyun Bridge project spans about 5.5 kilometers across the Gan River. The main bridge is designed as a self-anchored suspension bridge with twin towers and double cable planes, featuring a composite girder structure with spans of 60+80+180+80+60 meters, and a total length of 460 meters. The bridge towers stand approximately 100 meters tall.
Ziyun Bridge is a key livelihood project for Fengcheng City. Its construction is vital for the coordinated development of both sides of the Gan River, supporting Fengcheng's integration into the Greater Nanchang Metropolitan Area, advancing high-quality urban development, and enhancing the city’s overall competitiveness.
